I've just spent the last week tuning an Epson 3000 with diluted Dye ink using Pauls C6 base with black and 3 dilutions
Now I haven't used any other inks at all in the 3000 besides normal Epson CMYK, but I didn't even need to use flush carts with the residual as the Dye base ink mixed so well for the dilutions.
It's simple and inexpensive enough to mix the base and then test the dye your going to dilute as a test.
