dieter doepfer says: "these are the latest news: The first batch of A-188-1 have been already shipped, but only versions with 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and 4096 stages. All customers who ordered the module with 128 stages will have to wait for the third batch (June 2006) as there are too many modifications required for this BBD circuit (additional parts and wires, interrupted pcb tracks). But even new orders with 256...4096 stages will have to be patient as the frist batch is completely sold out and the second batch will arrive about end of May (the second batch does not yet have the jumpers that are required to be able to select all types of BBD circuits - including the 128 stage BBD). The user's manual ist already available for download on our web site (thank's Ingo for the proofreading). The first universal vactrol modules A-101-9 have been shipped already but the manual is not yet ready, especially the examples are still missing. But I hope we will finish the manual with the most important applications until end of this week. What's next ? As the smd board for the AD/DA module is ready we will continue with the modules that are based on this board (please refer to my last emails). I assume that the "real time modifier module" will be the first one of this series. If everything is working as we expect these functions will be included: VC bit cruncher (bit limiter), VC bit exchanger (but we will have to see if this makes sense), and different digital waveshapers (including wave multiplier). But Christian warned me not to promise too much as the possibilities will depend upon the calculation power of the microcontroller. Especially multiplications, divisions and non-linear calculations (e.g. lin/log conversions) take a lot of time. I will keep you informed and publish audio examples as soon as we have them available. But it will still take some weeks. And of course all the other modules in the waiting queue have to be finished: TKB, normal CV/gate keyboard, controller box, SC filter (probably a dual filter with two 30dB filters with a common control especially for clock suppresion applications for BBD and the AD/DA module), quadrature/thru zero VCO, pitch-to-CV/midi interface, precision adder/bus access/buffer, matrix mixer, dual VCF with spread control, bypass module, possibly the manual gate module (the inquiries seem to increase for this module), simple 8 bit AD-converter with digital outputs and the counterpart (8 bit DA-converter with digital inputs) and many more. I do not promise that all of these modules will be available. At first we have to built all the prototypes to find out if the functions are usefel and of course we have to look if there are sufficient inquiries for the module in question." SO, KEEP ON VOTING!
