the discontinued blacet time machine uses a 4096 stages ic
(mn3005). they clock the chip with up to 200 khz frequency
and not with 100 khz as stated in the data sheet, thats why
they say it has a minimum delay of 10 ms.
this is also possible with the 4096 stages version of
the a188/1, but the bbd ic manufacturer is not giving any
guarantees that it works. it is generally a cool thing to
operate these ic's out of their specs, anyway nothing
can be damaged when doing so.
