Doepfer

Unfortunately a simple low pass filter will not do the job (otherwise we
would have added it). You need a filter with a steep slope 24dB or more)
that follows the clock frequency of the A-188-1 or -2. The low cost solution
of a fixed filter that was used in older BBD devices does make sense only
for a norrow clock/delay range so that a compromise between filter frequency
(and consequently dullness of the sound) and clock suppression can be made.
But a fixed filter does not make sense with the A-188-x modules as they have
an extremely wide clock/delay range (typ. a few hundred Hz up to 400 kHz
according to the BBD type). As mentioned several times the planned dual SC
filter will fill this gap. But even another VC lowpass of the A-100 can be
used for this task.

And - maybe I'm the only one - for certain applications I definitely want to
have the clock noise and the aliasing effects. The A-188-x modules are no
guitar stomp boxes but part of a modular (!) synthesizer system.
