Thanks again for your help. I did contemplate swapping PSUs with a portable case containing an NT12. Before I did anything I was at the time concerned with verifying that the fuse would be correct when switched when I discovered I might have a different rated PSU2 from what's documented online. So I was a bit puzzled and annoyed that firstly I'd never seen any info that a 650mA PSU2 existed coupled with the situation that I purchased the unit thinking I was getting a 1200mA rated power supply that I could potentially use in another case. To avoid any confusion this is what I have. A G3 case with stickers on the back saying 115V and to use a 0,25A fuse. Inside the case the power supply PCB clearly says and is an "A-100 Power Supply II" but has the square transformer on it. The system works fine and it does make sense that a 650mA supply for a G3 is sufficient. The confusion for me was because all the web pages and pdfs I've looked at on the doepfer.de site or at analoguehaven.com say that PSU2's output is 1200mA. But as Dieter recently mentioned, I know now it's 650mA because the transformer is square. this page I looked at may contain a discrepency http://www.analoguehaven.com/doepfer/a100g3/ I'm not the original owner of my G3 but it was purchased from Analogue Haven. Their page mentions a 1200ma rating and shows the older NT12 in the jpg photo, something that the doepfer.de page mentions. But I take it that this lower rated PSU2 is what is delivered.
