Hi Florian, Hmm... but if I remember my Ohms law correctly that would mean that the impedance would be determined entirely by the level of the signal and the resistance of the input in the stomp box. Hence, using a VCA to change the signal level would also change the impedance. Or am I missing something here? Sorry if I'm pestering you, but I'm actually genuinely interested in knowing more about this sort of stuff.
