i have an older PS that does not hum, but i understand some do...i have a newer one as well and it's fine too...when i was putting together my second rack, i bought a used back panel, but returned it as it had no fuse holder, and i figured i really didn't need it as i was putting it all in a big rack unit...i simply ran an inline fuse holder off the AC hot to the PS, works great...good luck... ----- Original Message ---- From: nicholas_kent <nicholas_kent@yahoo.com> To: Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, June 16, 2007 11:38:35 AM Subject: [Doepfer_a100] Older G6 frame questions I picked up what I believe is an older 230v G6 frame. The NT12 PSU says "REV 2" on it. I noticed the PSU hums slightly. Though I also noticed one of my other G6 frames sounds about the same. But a third NT12 frame I have is quieter. So I just thought I'd ask if it's a concern. The other thing I noticed was the plug socket has no hardware for a fuse. Is that the way older units were made or is it someones replacement?
