Yes this would work as you think.

Thats what I am doing always.

Btw. some years ago I played around whith dc-coupled Audiomoduls. It can 
have really nice effects. But the disadvantige is, that you always have 
annoying clicks or "whoooom"s if you switch to some module or add its 
signal with the mixer, which is not bearable for live situations. Thats 
why I decided to go back to ac-coupling.
