Anyone experiment with different kinds of stand alone analog noise reduction systems -- 
most of which as far as I know involve companding (compression on input decompression on 
output)?

Besides a proper filter for the job at hand Moog has some kind of companding going on in 
the Moogerfooger delays, am I correct? I'm pretty sure they are designed with 2 chips inside, 
right?
