Doepfer

The Plan B Model 15 is my favourite oscilator.
It is very stable, all the waveforms sound great, especially the sine and the pulse.  It really 
does have bags of character.  The morph function is a brilliant addition and is capable of 
some very complex timbres using sync and FM.  I like it so much I bought four of them 
and plan on buying another two.  Also the new version is quite slim (back to front) so will 
easily fit in any suitcase system.  With the addition of the new 15a module adding further 
PWM and sync options the M15 is going to be a killer.  If I had one criticism it would be 
that the bipolar frequency vc pot doesn't have much of a dead spot in the centre so can be 
tricky to have no modulation if you're trying to do this in a hurry on stage.  It also makes a 
brilliant but pricey LFO.

I'd also have to recommend the Cynthia Zeroscillator.  I wasn't tremendously impressed 
with it at first but it has proven to be a very powerful and versatile tool.  It has some 
brilliant functions and is capable of producing several distinct sounds simultaneously.  It 
goes way beyond what you imagine was possible with FM. The quaderature outputs also 
make it an excellent LFO and bizzare modulation source.  It is a very deep module and the 
switches feel a bit flimsy but otherwise highly recommended.
