Hi There, When using the A-106, IMHO it can help to limit the input signal to only 10-20% of the max. range. This way, resonance control responds more "MS-10 like" IMO. Alternatively, the A-101-1 Steiner Filter can sometimes sound very much like an MS-10 VCF. Else, you can perhaps look at the competition (A.Sol.
