In a previous email I advised people to use RtMidi for crossplatform
midi. I sure hope no one took my advice 'cause the current version of RtMidi does not work for sysexes on MacOSx. I have fixed it, but I can't get a hold of the guy who wrote it, so an official update is probably not imminent. He's probably one of those types who celebrate christmas away from their computer :-)
