actually, yes, an internal PLUS an external clock option would be best for the AD/DA. And: the internal clock should have an "insert" design, where you have the clock available at an output, normalled to the external clock input socket. this way you could insert a logic module (like an "and") fed by the internal clock and an external one....in the simplest usage this would enable a "sample and hold" using a gate for external clock: sampling at internal frq while gate=on and holding last value while gate=off. or of course two audio rate clock signals AND-ed would probably cause very interesting destruction of the sampled input (especially interesting with simple input signals). d On 28.
