I don't understand your problem. If the bus cable has been removed from the
module then there is a (now unused/open) pin header on the pcb that has 10
(2x5) pins or 16 (2x8) pins. If it's 10 pins you need a 10 pin ribbon cable,
if it's 16 pins you need a 16 pin ribbon cable.
