I would be interested if anyone on this board had the capability to design and cost out this module.
 
It would be interesting to know if it's commercially viable to build.

Not cut-down at all! Imagine taking the CV's for grain parameters 
from a vocoder analysis section, and using sequencers and VCOs for 
triggering/parameter automation....grains "synced" to an 
oscillator....etc etc....*grin*

Compared to Metasynth you'd get less grains simultaneously, and no 2D/ 
3D control.....but a ton more options.
