Early modules had issues with the jack sockets. Cliff (the mnfr of the sockets) changed their design years ago though. Other than that, just cosmetics, crackley pots, dodgey rotary switches on the vco octave select, etc. Check lfo bleed across the power lines (ie listen to the pitch of a vco closely whilst nothings plugged into it) Julian ----- Original Message ----- From: Steven Taylor To: Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, March 22, 2008 10:30 AM Subject: [Doepfer_a100] What can go wrong? Hi all, There's a good chance I'll be buying a 2nd hand 12U Doepfer system this week. Aside from general condition and simple testing of the functionality of each module.. are there any other less obvious things to check? Any common pitfalls?
