And I agree also that the Doepfer casings (and modules) are not like, ehm, the most beautiful objects in modular-land, but at least they're practical (for gigging) and rather well thought-out... Then again, are you prepared to shell out $25K for a Buchla ? FWIW, I find the Plan B sloped casing rather repulsive as a meek wannabe Buchla/Serge makeover. Not that there's anything wrong with their gear, mind you. It's just not beautiful either (which can be said for most Euro gear, I think). All a matter of cost vs. functionality vs. style... -g > > > --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Guy D2 <guy@...> wrote: > > > > > > On 23 Mar 2008, at 23:48, partlydrone wrote: > > > excellent, and much cheaper. > > > > > > now if i could please have > > > > > > 1. my digital modules please, and > > > > > > 2. a nice sloping wooden case like buchla please > > > > > > http://www.ear-group.net/newfront.jpg > > > > > > then i will be very happy. > > > > > > > Here you go: > > > > http://www.doepfer.de/a100_monster_base.htm > > > > Which I personally think is way better, and more functional than > Plan > > B's ehm, case. > > > > > > Half happy ? ;-) > > > > -g > > > > >
