the only analog Pitch > CV i have experience with is the the Korg MS20 which worked fine ( i now have the Korg Legacy which does a pretty good job as well)...the MS20 has input/filtering/env out...the A-119 has the input/pre amp and env out, and the filtering can be achieved with other mods (most people have at least a filter or two i imagine)...the RS-35 might be the only choice, but i don't need the extra feautures...i just want to have pitch of an external signal as a mod source, don't need twelve octaves of flawless tracking...i would find it a very usefull addition to the features of the A-119.... am i alone here? ----- Original Message ---- From: matijnboshoven <matijnboshoven@yahoo.com> To: Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, May 28, 2008 5:32:20 AM Subject: [Doepfer_a100] Re: Doepfer modular for guitars --- In Doepfer_a100@ yahoogroups. com, Ross Goniakowski <carfull@... > wrote: > > besides mods already mentioned, i like the A126 Frequency Shifter and running audio frequency to a VCA for amplitude modulation (creates cool side bands)... > but: i really, really want Doepfer to produce a Pitch > CV mod...just a line level input and 1v/oct output (and maybe a direct audio out as well)...no midi, no preamp...i'm happy with the A-119, i just want the Pitch > CV....please! > > I have the Analogue Systems RS-35 witch does pitch to cv. I don't have a guitar. But if you put a bass guitar through it, you need to filter out the high frequencies quite a bit to make it work. This makes the frequency range limited. It does work very good on sine waves, but not on other waveshapes. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
