Doepfer

I just got my A-190 in.  I was looking at it, and it has two circuit
boards.  On the larger board, right at the top, under the "FACE" part
of "INTERFACE", there is an 8 pin chip.  One of the pins is broken
off, though.  Is this normal?  Just kind of had me alarmed, wanted to
make sure that this was by design.  Thanks!
