What about making a a-100 sequenser in the spirit of the roland sh-101.
Many of my friends (including me :)use that sequencer to control their systems.
It�s simple, no menus, it�s fast and lovely to use :)
The only things it�s missing is pattern memmorys and 
tape interface to store on (easier than midi dump,
everybody has a mp3 or md  player/recorder :) 

  o yes!! I love stepsequensers 
  o no!! those roland thingis aren�t intellectual enuff ;)
