the big difference between the malgorithm and the doepfer module is the 
variable sample freq i guess, and that might persuade me in the end 
because i could live without the vc input for going through the 
different modes

but i wondered if the variable sample freq can also be versatile while 
the sine (carrier?) wave isn't mixed in with the signal too obvious if 
you know what i mean. i mean can it be fun without bleeping too loud?
