Doepfer

I was just listening to some of the mp3s on the Analogue Haven 
website.  The one called "a1891_16_modes_manually" listed as the second 
example.

There is an interesting moment in this mp3 from time: 1:47 - 1:57 there 
is a quiet section that has a more subtle effect that I like.  What is 
this effect?  Which mode?  Is it easily repeatable?
