I'm on board, but... Back in the days, when I was working with an engineer on my own modular, I remember him saying "pitch to voltage conversion is one the most difficult and complicated tasks to accomplish in an analog voltage-controlled world. It's one of the holy grails of modular synthesizer design." But that was almost 30 years ago, so maybe now it's easier. I still believe him, though. Otherwise p2v modules (and proper guitar synths) should be floating about in great[er] abundance, wouldn't it be? Nevertheless, if Dieter says that's it a piece-of-cake, and cheap to build, then sure, I'm in. -Guy On 29 Oct 2008, at 02:35, Ross Goniakowski wrote: > i mentioned this on the list before, i asked peter g about it as > well: i'd like to see an inexpensive pitch>cv mod, something to > simply bring pitch into a patch, don't need a full on guit synth (we > all have the rest of the goodies anywho, and guit synth is the most > boring of the many interesting applications)...why every single > person ain't on board with this is beyond me....
