My suspicion is there's a small but religious group here ( and on AH) that believe analog 
must to be sloppy and imprecise. But I suspect most musicians actually want precision and 
high quality designs in all their musical instruments and tools.

I think improving waveform quality in Doepfer VCOs will be good for sales :-)
