There was a king in the 18th century in Prussia (Friedrich the second) 
who stated about the religion of his people: "Everyone should get happy 
in the way he likes" - its not a the way but its the happiness, which 
matters.

PS: In fact the original quote is assumingly from Immanuel Kant and 
"happy" is not a good translation; http://pda.leo.org suggests "beatific"
