Doepfer

The main challenge before you here is the TB-303's rather unique sequencer, 
particularly it's way of doing slides (or "portemento"/"glide") which is a 
little more complex than the usual standard slide on analogue synths.  I'm 
not sure how to describe the particular characteristic of the TB-303 slide 
sound.  It might involve delaying the slide from beginning till halfway 
through the note, or so.  So that, in the end, the slide seems to happen in 
a more bass guitar-like way.  Kinda like it's designed to do - sound like a 
bass guitar! haha
Also the accent function, which affects the filter cut-off frequency as well 
as boosting the amplitude.  You will probably want to figure this into your 
303 type sequence with the use of an extra envelope for accent, which you 
will patch into the filter cut-off and VCA, in addition to the usual 
envelope controlling these on non accented notes.
The filter type will certainly make a difference, too.  I think the Doepfer 
A-103 "TB-303" emulation filter does a grand job of getting you closer to 
the sound you are most.  But any low pass filter will get you some sounds 
like a 303 makes.  Depends how set on the "real TB" sound you are.
You should obviously use just the sawtooth or square wave from the Doepfer 
oscillator, as those are the only ones available on the TB-303.
Apart from that, you could take it whichever way the soundz take you!

Is it possible to emulate a TB-303 with just the suitcase version A-
100, a midi-cv box, and a midi sequencer? Does anybody have a patch
example?
