i've been doing a similar trick but cheating by using a probability 
seq in max/msp w midi-out connected to a100.  your  
a100-contained patch will do well for what i've been working on  
(a formula for quasi repetitive sparce and heavy bass lines, 
using 156 as note restrictor), be great to free up max to patch to 
something else for duelling prob counterpoint.  simple and fun!
