A188-1 Inserting a MN3007 chip

I've bought an A188-1 2nd hand without the BBD-chip. The "A188-1 replacement and adjustment procedure" is confusing me:

Why the jumpers for 32XX and 30XX chips do have to be set differently even though the MN3007 and MN3207 have the same pin out?
