The USB versions of the keyboards are equipped with completely new main
boards (with other processors) and new back panels (because of the USB
sockets instead of the Midi sockets). Consequently a "retro kit" would be a
new main board and a new back panel. That would be much more expensive than
a Midi/USB interface which is available in the €20 range (e.g. from
Thomann).
