Doepfer

hello,
i know that this module is listed 
as not powerful enough for use with guitars / mics, etc.

but am curious as to whether it would provide enough boost
for line-level signals which are weaker than those of native doepfer modules?

i often use the doepfer in conjunction with a laptop computer 
and feed its signal into my doepfer from an edirol fa-101 audio interface,
but its signal is significantly quieter than the rest of my doepfer modules.

i am currently using an additional gain stage via a portable mackie mixer,
but would love to have this functionality built into my a-100 system.

does anyone know whether the a-183-3 provide enough additional boost
to handle this task, or do i need to pick up an a-119 etc. instead?
