Doepfer

so, we  just found a great advantage of the Doepfer modular for stage  
performance!

everyone likes things for their own reasons - what works for me maybe  
doesn`t appeal to someone else but everyone is valid in their own contexts  -  
still, among advantages to doepfer modulars i have to list   a) small 
form-factor, i don`t mind the panel density   b) to my  ear, it sounds good   c) 
widest array of modules on the market  covering all but the most exotic bases.
case in point, without wanting to start a "who`s is better" flame war, the  
aforementioned buchla 200e, sexy-as-hell and quite good sounding, on closer 
 inspection did little my mini-footlocker didn`t but the mini-footlocker 
was $15k  less.  the artists primary reason for favoring the buchla was that 
its  elaborate, powerful switching and presetable programmabilty of modules 
was  important to his music. i saw his point but............
