Doepfer

I posted a while ago on the regrettable absence of a Doepfer Analogue Shift Register. I have just obtained a Plan B ASR, and jolly nice it is too, but I have, of course, immediately run out of VCOs.

While I'm waiting for the 143-4 Quad VCO to be released, any suggestions on the best bang per buck of the currently available VCOs? Some (not all) recent posters were underwhelmed by the MFB triple. The Analogue Solutions 6HP VCO has been mentioned, has anyone tried it? (ASols modules are always more expensive than they first seem because VAT is omitted from the prices).

So, buy new, or look for second hand bargains, or wait for the Quad?

If anyone has spares for sale, let me know, but it's not really the sort of thing you get rid of.
