I have a A-100P6 Suitcase with mains inlet at the back. Which I use 'horizontal' in live concert situations. I bought a mains connector that is angled (at the mains inlet of the doepfer) and use a roll of gaffer tape under the case to slightly tilt it upward. This way it plays nicer and the mains connector is not in the way. I don't see why you can't do this with the P9. And the roll of gaffer tape I anyway always take when doing concerts.
