A-154/155 question - 16 steps using an A-150?

In the A-154 manual it's stated that an A-150 can be used with an
A-154/155 to switch between the two CV rows of the A-155 thus allowing
16 step sequences from a single A-155, but it isn't explained how this
is done. Can anyone explain the process/patch to me? Thanks, Matt
