  When you use the CV/Gate cable you connect the CV and Gate lines of both bus
  boards. It's the same as if both modules were on the same bus boards (i.e.
  you short the CV and Gate of both modules if they are connected to two bus
  boards which are connected by means of the CV/Gate cable).
