this may not result in a 'true' random step feature but as 
discussed a while back on the list, if you clock your a155 w a 
sawtooth (or perhaps other nonsymmetrical waves) it steps in a 
semirandom manner..

also, these suggested features might be simple enough for 
doepfer to include on future a155s.  at that point, i imagine it 
would be pretty easy for many existing users to reverse engineer 
an 'old' a155. 

i think a trigger input for fwd and a trigger input for reverse would 
be nice.
