Re: Monster cases - stacked - how many is too much weight?

2013-08-09 by shoskins99

Peter and James - Thanks guys for the replies, agree the modules aren't too bad on their own but they add up LOL - 12U case packed feels like about 40-45lbs so that plus 2 x 9U would be say another 50-60lbs so the base is carrying approx. 100lbs - so I guess that will hold? eekk ;-)

I like the rack idea and have a few 12U desktop racks, but I'm pretty invested in these cases and theft aside I do like the fact that I can put the covers on these bad boys and they are effectively somewhat mobile / movable (not that I'd do that much).

So I think I will have to continue to 3 row of 168HP if this last 9U round doesn't hold me + a small step stool will be in order ;-)

Cheers gentlemen,

Stu
