DIN-Sync and MIDI are two completely "different pairs of shoes". DIN-Sync is a quasi analogue parallel format, MIDI-Clock is a digital serial format. The only thing they have in common is that they use a round five pin connector. But even flying saucers and stone age wheels have in common that they are round... You must use MIDI!
