After what I've just read on the web, I'll definitely second that! 
When I first read the above I have to admit to being a little 
sceptical - several of the books I have point out that fuses and 
their ratings are a very misunderstood subject, but then they don't 
really give the whole story. I thought it was a power thing, but in 
fact it is a current thing - hence on the basis the psu takes the 
same power whether running off 240V or 110V, in the US/Canada, half 
the voltage implies *double* the current, so what Joe says above 
sounds very feasible. After searching the web (it's 
called 'fuseology', what a yeuchy term!) I came across this:

Take a gander if you want to be convinced by the complexity of it!

I'm thus a little surprised that Doepfer ship units to North America 
with the same fuse rating as Europe when it looks like it could be a 
little marginal - it would be nice to hear Dieter's take on it.

In any case, it sounds like Dan has his system running OK, at least 
in the short term.
