Yeah I know - I thought that was being just a little _too_ prissy! 
Besides as I was adding it all up...

... I couldn't help but think the same as Bakis here! Still 
it's 'horses for courses', and 'you pays yer money and you takes yer 
choice'!

If I'm to believe this, it must be 80% of the components - the boards 
and faceplates must be a fair proportion of the final price, but the 
bulk of the cost of a module must surely be down to the labour for 
soldering/screwing it together?

Well the 260 obviously has a microcontroller in it; for what the 297 
does, perhaps it does too, and so maybe they are trying to recoup 
software development costs. Who knows. But it _would_ be nice to have 
enough money to be able to justify spending $1500 on a single unit!
