hello, yesterday i got my a105 ssm lowpass filter. there was no time for extensive testing, i just tried it to see that it works. i compared it with the oberheim-type filters, because of the similarity of the features. the a105 sounds totally different compared with f.e. an a109 or a122. it colors the sound much more. the a105 also seems to have a lower maximum cutoff frequency. it boosts the low frequency end enormously and the resonance is very agressive and loud. it is like in a korg mono/poly, you can produce murderous basslines without any input-signal, when using it at self-oscillation. it is all a matter of taste, i think. as a korg mono/poly lover, i have to love this filter too. it seems to be perfect for fat bass sounds and the overall sound is remarkably different compared to other doepfer filters (as far as i can say after 30 mins of testing). i use my mono/poly all the time and i think i'll also use the a105 a lot. best wishes ingo
