SKB make a shallow flight case for mixers. ( http://www.skbcases.com/product/pro_audio/mixer/skb19-p12u.html ) Whilst browsing the MOTM site, i saw it being used to house the 5U format modules, but then that got me thinking to my doepfer / analogue solutions system. I realy would like to make the system a bit more portable. At the moment its all in the deep 12u skb cases, but those pop up mixer cases look real nice.... I dont actually use the gate or cv lines on the bus board, so i was thinking a psu bolted to the rear of a blank pannel, with a small socket board made on veroboard or the like. Probably with a front mounted 3 pin socket, again like the MOTM setup. ( http://www.synthtech.com/motm900.html ) The only part that is not immediatly obvious to me is the mounting rails needed to bolt the individual modules to. Im sure something like this must exist, but i havent had a look about yet. I know about the doepfer suitcase system, but this such a nice idea to me... Has anyone else though along these lines before? Cheers, julian
