That's right, this way the module becomes a complex modulation 
source. 

Now if the switch becomes 3-way and Ingo's gate hold for retrigging 
lfo suggestion is there, you would be able to gate 1 or more lfo's 
into the sum output for more complex modulations. You could have one 
lfo going steady and with the use of a gate or other voltage source 
to trigger hold another lfo or modulation on top synchronized from a 
sequencer or another source. You could also one of the AD eg's to 
gate a repeating lfo.

By Ingo's suggestions the switch should behave this way.

1) AD mode: it behaves like a normal EG and the input jack triggers 
the envelope

2) LFO mode: it behaves like an LFO and the input jack retriggers the 
LFO

3) LFO Hold or Gate mode: the LFO runs as long as there is a high or 
gate on signal at the input jack. It would be nice if these inputs 
had a comparator with them so you could use a myriad of sources to 
trigger and gate the input.
