Doepfer

I'm having some trouble setting up using my 190.. I have just installed 
it and it cycles through rev. etc. so it's getting power, but I cant 
seen to have it react to any incoming midi data.. I've tried sending it 
low C as a reference not and midi channel, but no output or led 
activity on the gate/clock/reset leds.. Hmm.. Am I missing something? 
In performance mode, shouldn't it be plug and play?
