Doepfer

Hi Pierre,

The only polyphonic midi/cv converter I know of is the PolyDAC 
http://www.modulus.synth.net/modular/polydac.shtml

I've just built one in doepfer format (pix on modulus site) and it 
is four note polyphonic and works great, but my main use for it is 
in mono mode 2, where it can become four separate midi/cv converters 
on four separate midi channels.

To build a modular polysynth is a fair undertaking, but to get 8 (or 
12?) vco's, 8 adsr's and 4 vca's and vcfs set up in unison is quite 
an undertaking and not for the faint hearted. Better to buy a JP8 or 
Memory Moog (or dare I even mention a VA synth such as Virus or ION) 
and keep the Doepfer modular for the monophonic stuff and all of the 
other things that modulars are unbeatable for.
