Once again, good ol' Dieter Doepfer has come up with an idea that is actually better than all the suggestions we were throwing at him. This idea is brilliant. It would be probably the best synth controller out there, and I would definitely buy it in exactly the form he has presented it, although I'm certain it will be even better by the time it comes out. I have one suggestion: Since you are contemplating a digital sequencer where the values are set by hitting the keys, how about a "virtual row of knobs" in addition to the pots? The CV level of this "virtual row" would be set by hitting a key, making it easy to set up a tonal sequence. Then, the CV could be used just like another row of knobs. Now, I know that the surfeit of suggestions by certain people (like me)may have had something to do with the last TKB not coming out. So, feel free to ignore this one.
