Quick question concerning the A140

Hi all. 
I just have a quick question about the A140.
In the manual it says that the output of the EG is from 0 volt to 8 
volt for the normal EG (attack) but 0 volt to -8 volt for the 
inverse. Is this correct? - I would think that the inverse would be 
8 volt to 0 volt for the attack.
