Hello! I think we should respect the choice of Diether. Diether respects other synth manufacturers and that's great! Of course I would love to see a cheap VCO with ultimate power from europe, but not for all costs (synth manufacturer war). Doepfer finally is getting rid of the stealing-from-diy-modules manufacturer, copying existing modules from other sellers isn't a very good thing to do. I've ordered a PLAN B VCO and I'm living in Europe (The Netherlands) A good VCO is worth more than 300 euro, so I really don't mind. The PLAN B isn't a copy of the original. Peter was also doubting about selling this VCO. He didn't want to disrespect Doepfer and Buchla: "What I don't want is to feel I'll have to duck down a hall if I ever see Don Buchla coming the opposite direction and I put a lot of effort into it so I won't have to!" http://www.buzzclick-music.com/model_15.html What I really like about Doepfer is the extreme range of modules with it's own sound / functions, not the modules which clone other modulars. Peter: Did you contact MusicHouse in the netherlands or Bluebay (works together with macbeth) in belgium? They are great. And about the digital buchla 200e... I think digital components don't necessarily mean bad components. I hope Diether will make some digital modules which are more or less programmable. (like the PSIM) I've already read something about that from diether and I will hope he will go on with that together with the analogue modules which he's already making! :) Best regards, JohnnyBusca http://www.tonyblack.org > Message: 22 > Date: Mon, 27 Sep 2004 15:48:00 -0700 (PDT) > From: Bakis Sirros <synth_freak_2000@yahoo.com> > Subject: Re: 259 vco toot toot > > hello peter, > i know and really believe that your plan B vco is a > great sounding module. but for me, here in greece, > your modules are also not an option. the custom duties > for US products, as far as i know, will be huge > (something like 50% extra!). so, your vco will cost me > more than 300 euros, not counting big shipping costs! > so, i would really prefer a european 259 vco doepfer > a100 module. > bakis. > > > > > > --- "(i think you can figure that out)" > <peter@buzzclick-music.com> wrote: > >> Guys - >> >> I very rarely toot my own horn, but it you guys want >> a 259, get a >> Plan B VCO and Dieter's Wave Multiplier, the A-137. >> If you want >> the LFO, add a A-147 to that stack.
