Hi everybody. This is my first post to the list. I am a MOTM-Oakley-Blacet DIY builder with a curiosity about Doepfer. Been lurking for a bit. Wanted to chime in to inform you about the Synthtech MOTM 650 MIDI-CV module that will be coming out some time in 2005. http://www.synthtech.com/new_stuff.html It's worth checking out. Notable features include 16-bit DAC outputs and and impressive list of built-in micro-tunings (email me and I will send these to you). I don't have a MIDI-CV converter yet, and will probably buy one of these MOTM 650 units. -Richard Brewster E.M. wrote: >hello everyone, > >after years of pure analogue music making i thought i'd try to automate >some of my doepfer stuff by sending cv's from a software sequencer. > >i know analogue synthesis, but very very little about midi. > >can someone maybe recommend a midi to cv interface? > >among other things, i'd like to be able to do a kind of software lfo >thing, where slow sine shapes are generated by the computer and work as >lfo's on cv inputs, and i'd want the use of the midi-cv channels to be >freely assignable. i read something about the doepfer mcv4 that sounded >like port 1 can only be used for note on/off etc. > >is there something compact with maybe 4-6 channels that takes any >controller type as its input, and makes nice smooth cv with small >increments? > >thanks for any tips > >ele > > > > > > >Yahoo!
