Thanks for all the advice on the mini patch bay. 
Looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and a buy a 6u
case, move a few mods from my current 4 cases into the
new case and fill-in the extra spaces with A180s. 
that way I'll be able to use shorter patch cables and
copy signals up to 7x.
I hope I can still get the 10% off this stuff....
